The parrots have returned to my backyard Crepe Myrtle treee. This blue-crowned parakeet is a small green Neotropical parrot with a blue head and pale beak. He is sitting on a branch of the tree in late afternoon, while his brethren are feeding on some seeds in a bird-feeder about 2 feet below to his left. Either he is full, or just waiting his turn -- but in the meantime, he's looking quite regal as he gazes off into the distance.
