The wondrous colors of autumn and the majesty of the Grand Tetons are displayed in all their glory behind the altar of the Chapel of the Transfiguration. The large picture window frames the majestic Grand Teton's cathedral group of peaks The beauty of the scene is unmatched, especially in the autumn of the year, when the "shimmering aspens" are doing their shimmering. Before taking this photograph...I stood in awe of what I was seeing in front of me...the wooden cross on the altar, silhouetted against the magnificence of the snow covered Tetons and the yellow aspens. It was a close as one can get to a "religious experience" on earth.
