Description
This wonderfully gnarly tree sits majestically at the edge of a cliff in the sky district of Canyonlands National Park, Utah. It can be found a short distance away from the enormously popular Mesa Arch and it often missed because most visitors come to photograph the iconic arch. In the distance is the rock formation known as "The Airport Tower"

I enjoyed looking at the many outstanding images in your collections! It's so obvious that you have a lot of patience to wait out the perfect moment to capture. This photo is a perfect example of your artistic eye & patience to capture the moment of atmospheric background & clarity surrounding the tree. This is an enjoyable scene to let the eyes wander, from the tree to the distant mountains, the valley, the foreground, and all around again!

Thank you so very much Carlin. I am so glad you enjoyed your visit through my collections and am very appreciative of your wonderful comments. When I approach a scene like this, I like to move around to different vantage points until I find the exact spot I want to shoot from. You are so right about patience, as well
