Jenny Lake is one of my most favorite of all places in the United States. When I took this photograph, an hour after sunrise one September morning, it was so peaceful and serene that I thought that this must be what "Heaven" will be like. No one else was around and only the sounds of nature could be heard. It was a time for reflection and contemplation about all things beautiful. I became lost in thought for several minutes....quiet and peaceful moments that I treasure to this very day. I couldn't wait to get back to the Lake Jenny Lodge to tell my still sleeping wife of my wonderful experience. One day, when both she and I are gone from this worldly life our daughters have pledged to (shhh...don't tell anyone of this highly illegal act) spread a few of our ashes around the shores of this peaceful and wonderful lake.
David Choate is a retired Television News Journalist and United Way executive who lives in Hollywood, Florida. He loves photographing beauty wherever he finds it: landscapes, wild life, in our national parks and especially in sunsets at Marco Island, Florida which he believes are unequaled anywhere else on the planet.
