An American Bald Eagle flying upstream on a canal near his nest in Pembroke Pines, Florida. The lighting was just perfect on this early morning in December. And just moments before this shot was taken, I mentioned to a fellow photographer that it would be great if the eagle we were stalking would fly this way instead of straight up from his perch down river. Lo and behold, that's exactly what happened and for me, it's the shot of a lifetime.
This image was my Day 343 submission to the year-long Fine Art America Journal/Diary Challenge that required participants to upload a new image to the Challenge every day of the Year 2022. (12/9/22)

Beautiful picture and great shot. I love taking photos of birds but to catch them in flight and being able to see the image clearly is difficult and makes the photo so special.
