An enormous storm cloud...resembling an alien spaceship or huge Jetliner..explodes in fiery colors as the sun sets on Marco Island, Florida. Four lone spectators watch from the shoreline, seemingly oblivious the scene unfolding before them. The cloud took on many iterations as I stood on the beach, and I photographed away...catching the formation of an enormous rain storm under the cloud as it stayed off-shore. There were numerous flashes of lightening, and constantly changing colors and form for a full 10 minutes or longer. This was the most expressive and I might add, impressive of my photographs of the phenomenon. It was a night to remember and I'm just glad I was on the beach that night with my camera. But then again, when I'm at Marco Island...land of the fabulous sunsets...I'm never without my trusty camera!
