Description
These two beautiful blossoms are on a potted hibiscus plant at the edge of my pool in South Florida. Like all hibiscus blooms they won't last long --a day or two at most-- but there are plenty more to take their place. In South Florida, they bloom just about all year long. The larger bloom here is a deep reddish pink and the other an almost pure white --both on the same branch and right next to each other. The pistils of both blossoms are quite long leading to the stigma at the top where the pollen gathers. Beautiful in color, but just as spectacular in black and white. The black and white "vision' is great in a photograph but sitting in a lounge at pool-side, give me color all day long!

It is beautiful. Funny how something we love so much for its color can be even more beautiful in black and white!
