The setting sun sends a colorful beam of light through a huge hole in a cloud lining the horizon of the Gulf of Mexico as seen from the beach at Marco Island, Florida. The edges of the opening are brightly illuminated by the sun---the vestiges of which can be seen on the right edge of the photograph. A few strollers can be seen at waters edge. And the calm waters of the gulf show up the reflections cast by the bright yellow features of the sky. Three palm trees can be seen at the left bottom. All in all, a peaceful scene, with almost religious overtones to it.

He loves photographing beauty wherever he finds it: landscapes, wild life, in our national parks and especially in sunsets at Marco Island, Florida which he believes are unequaled anywhere else on the planet.
