A rustic photograph of a beautiful abandoned farm house in the famed area of the Palouse in southeastern Washington state. An abandoned tire and beautiful golden straw filled foreground leads the eye into deep green fields and tire tracks leading to who knows where before reaching the strand of trees far away on the horizon. The stately old farm, abandoned and in the state of disrepair... yet ever beautiful as the sun highlighted its wooden siding fading glory -- topped off with a blue sky dotted with white and grayish clouds; a scene of serenity and peace.

Your work is exceptional! I love all the little thing, especially those grooves through the grass (la pelouse, as we would say here in Quebec, Canada) that moves my eye right around that farm! Wonderful!

A breathtaking beauty, David. Perfectly composed ... and time of day and light, which we know is crucial ... is magic. I have a feeling that within that stand of trees once stood another farmhouse ... or at least that's how it often is here. Long gone, now. So so sad to see this kind of beauty fading away.
