The first snowfall of the new year in Berkley, Massachusetts. The snow started to fall around 4 AM on January 7, 2022 and this is the accumulation after 4 hours of steady downfall --which hasn't stopped yet. Being a Florida guy for the past 63 years this is a sort of rare event. While I've skied for many years and a few years ago had a February photo shoot in Yellowstone National park, this is the first snow I have experienced while staying in a home since the year 1959. But forget my history, just enjoy the beauty of the image on its own merits --and be glad you are nicely warm and inside --maybe snuggled in front of a roaring fire in the hearth!
This photograph was created for an Fine Art America "Journal Challenge" in which participants create and submit an image a day for the entire year of 2022. This is day 7's image.

He hopes you will enjoy browsing through his photographs and welcomes any comments you may have about his work.

What a stunning wintery scene. Everything looks so unspoilt and clean with the thick white layer of snow.
