Description
The first snowfall of the new year in Berkley, Massachusetts. The snow started to fall around 4 AM on January 7, 2022 and this is the accumulation after 4 hours of steady downfall --which hasn't stopped yet. Being a Florida guy for the past 63 years this is a sort of rare event. While I've skied for many years and a few years ago had a February photo shoot in Yellowstone National park, this is the first snow I have experienced while staying in a home since the year 1959. But forget my history, just enjoy the beauty of the image on its own merits --and be glad you are nicely warm and inside --maybe snuggled in front of a roaring fire in the hearth!
This photograph was created for an Fine Art America "Journal Challenge" in which participants create and submit an image a day for the entire year of 2022. This is day 7's image.
